Brent Webb - Music Specialist
Brent Isaac Webb is a collegiate musician from Nashville, Tennessee. He is currently working to complete his Bachelor of Arts degree in French Horn Performance at Middle Tennessee State University.
Much of Webb's early music education came under the direction of Cayce Long and Nate Hughes at Goodpasture High School, where he was exposed to organizations such as DCI and WGI. He completed one season with Spirit of Atlanta Drum and Bugle Corp along with numerous high-achieving high school fall seasons and WGI winds seasons with Goodpasture. Most recently, he marched with Obsidian Winds for its inaugural season in 2025.
In his professional life, Webb plays as principal horn in MTSU's Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra. He also frequently plays in musicals, operas, and the like in the Murfreesboro and Nashville area. He is also a frequent session musician and freelance chamber musician, playing in brass ensembles, wind quintets, and brass quintets.
Education is another large part of his life: He currently serves as Music Caption Manager at Station Camp High School in Gallatin, TN as well as teaching at Kids' World Academy, a local preschool and early childhood education center near Hendersonville.
Webb specializes in Orchestral Brass Methods and Alexander Technique-based breath and posture methods to aid relaxation and mental clarity while playing wind instruments. The Alexander Technique methods are one of Webb's greatest influences to sound production pedagogy and articulation pedagogy.
In his free time, Isaac enjoys composing, rock climbing, reading, and listening to music. He currently lives in Murfreesboro, TN, but often returns home to his parents and brother in Hendersonville, Tennessee.
