Jessica Graves - Music Specialist

Jessica Graves currently serves as the Director of Bands at Nolensville High School in Nolensville, TN and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the role of Woodwind Specialist with the Obsidian Winds organization. A Nashville native, Jessica holds a Bachelor's degree in Instrumental/Vocal Music Education with a focus on saxophone from Middle Tennessee State University, a Master's degree in Instrumental Conducting from Western Kentucky University, and 16+ years of experience. Her passion for teaching spans across diverse mediums and programs, often resulting in top honors for both visual and musical performance. In addition to this, she relies heavily on her experience as a Sergeant with the United States Army to inform her teaching practices.

Jessica's background includes leading the award-winning Signal Corps Marching Band in Chattanooga, TN, the White House Heritage Band of Patriots, and consulting numerous ensembles on their visual, musical, and performance techniques. These successes include Grand Champion rankings, BOA Regional class championships, and Tennessee Division II state marching band championships. Jessica prides herself on being a devoted educator for each of her students, while providing them with the tools to be well-rounded human beings and lifelong lovers of music.

Jessica currently resides in Franklin, TN with her fiancé Scott, kids Indie and Adelaide, and their dog Millie.
